Sharing the Atlas Story
Founder Tristan Davis presented the journey behind ATLAS Swimwear, a brand born from travel, cultural connection, and the belief that style is universal. Having visited over 100 countries, Davis spoke about how his experiences abroad shaped the creative direction of the line and inspired the collection “It’s Always Summer Somewhere.”
The presentation underscored ATLAS’s commitment to bridging fashion, identity, and lifestyle, proving that world-class design can emerge from anywhere, on the road and even thousands of miles from the nearest coast. Community & Connection
Inspired by the idea that entrepreneurs discover solutions and build community one cup of coffee at a time, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation launched 1 Million Cups in 2012. What began as a simple concept has grown into a nationwide movement, powered by volunteers and dedicated to supporting thousands of entrepreneurs as they share ideas, refine their visions, and strengthen local ecosystems.
During the presentation, the audience engaged in a lively conversation around brand growth, storytelling, and market opportunity. Davis emphasized the value of Kansas City’s entrepreneurial community in cultivating creativity and innovation, sharing insights into Atlas Swimwear’s next phase of expansion through retail partnerships, strategic collaborations, and new product development designed to elevate men’s fashion globally. Looking Ahead
The Kauffman Foundation 1 Million Cups presentation marked another milestone in a season of growth for ATLAS, following appearances at Kansas City Fashion Week, Denver Startup Week, and creative collaborations across the region. Each moment brings the brand closer to its long-term vision: becoming a global lifestyle brand rooted in design, culture, and connection... starting with creating the perfect pair of swim trunks for men.
